Nano Pipetting Head

The MICROLAB STAR nano pipetting option provides on-the-fly dispensing of nano volumes of liquid.  This option comes configured as either 8 fold nano channels fixed or eight fold nano channels plus one independent nano channel.  Each tip is made out of ceramic to assure continuous flow without clogging or corrosion.  Typical pipetting volume ranges from 20nl to 10µl.  For high viscosity liquids pipetting volumes are typically >100nl.  Liquid is first aspirated from a reservoir on the deck and then dispensed on-the-fly.  Pipetting is conducted by the controlled release of pressurized sample liquid through high precision capillary valves in each tip.
