Lid Tool

The MICROLAB STAR Lid Tool is a suction device used to lift and manipulate labware with a smooth and flat surface, such as petri dish and MTP plate covers.  An independent pipetting channel picks up the tool in the same way it picks up a disposable tip.  The far end of the tool has a flexible rubber suction cup.

To pick up labware the tool is positioned over the labware.  The channel is instructed to aspirate.  This action creates a vacuum between the tool and labware so it can pick the labware up and move it to another position.  A park position is included so the tool can be released and the pipetting channel can pipette or pick up other CO-RE tools.
